Reservations
- A $300 deposit will guarantee a rental. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to pick-up.
Cancellation Fees
- If a booking is canceled 30 day or more before the pick-up date, a $300 cancellation fee applies. If a booking is canceled 29 days or fewer prior to pick-up date, entire balance is withheld.
- No show = no refund.
Pick-up
- Monday – Friday: 9am – 2pm
- Saturday: 10am – 12pm
Upon arriving at Travel B.C., the vehicle is thoroughly explained and any questions that you may will be answered. Please allow at least 2 hours for vehicle pick-up. If you arrive in the afternoon, we suggest that you stay your first night in a Hotel or Bed & Breakfast. We are happy to help reserving a room.
Drop off
- Monday – Saturday: 9am – 12pm. Please allow at least 1 hour for vehicle check-in.
Renter’s Responsibility
- Renter is responsible for all parking tickets and traffic violations. Renter is also responsible for checking and maintaining oil and fluid levels. Renter will be held responsible for any damages due to negligence in operation and/or regular maintenance of the vehicle.
Driver Requirements
- Drivers must be 19 years of age and carry a valid driver's license.
Travel Restrictions
- Vehicles are not allowed to travel to Mexico.
Northern Rentals
- A northern surcharge applies to all rental vehicles traveling north due to rougher road conditions. If traveling to Alaska, the Yukon and/or the North West Territories a $600 surcharge applies.
United States Rentals
- Any vehicle traveling into the United States is subject to a $600 surcharge.
Breakdowns and Repairs
- Any repairs costing $100 or less are to be paid by renter. The renter will be reimbursed for repairs when dropping off the vehicle, upon presenting repair receipts. Any repairs costing more than $100 must be authorized by Travel B.C. beforehand. Travel B.C. is not responsible for hotel charges, car rental or any other incidental or consequential cost in the event of a breakdown. If traveling into areas that require a Northern Surcharge without authorization, any repairs and/or damages occurred in these areas are the renter’s responsibility and insurance coverage is void.
Insurance (mandatory)
- Insurance is mandatory and costs $18 per day. Detailed information pertaining to insurance will be made available upon request.
Security Deposit
- A credit card imprint (Visa or MasterCard) is required for all vehicle and equipment rentals. The security deposit will be refunded upon returning vehicle on time, in clean condition and free from damages.
